AIMS-Workshop 2: How AIMS Brings Human Values into AI-Based Patient Safety

How can responsible AI be achieved in hospitals? In yesterday’s workshop on the AIMS project, we discussed this very question in depth, in a very open and respectful exchange.

The focus was on key topics such as:

• How can AI strengthen – rather than undermine – dignity, autonomy and professional competence?

Using a variety of creative methods, we were able to bring together different perspectives and develop concrete ideas. These are now being incorporated directly into the roadmap for the ethical further development of the AIMS AI tool.

Particularly valuable was reflecting together on opportunities and risks – and developing technical and organisational solutions based on them.

With a clear goal: to design AI in such a way that it genuinely reduces the workload on staff and serves patients in the best possible way.
