The Risk Class Check for AI Systems

In which of the risk categories does your AI product fall into? Assignment to one of the four risk classes is the basis for regulatory compliance.

Risk class check for AI systems

What the final text of the EU AI law will look like remains to be seen. What is clear, however, is that the risk-based approach to AI regulation will remain.

Businesses can therefore start preparing for the EU AI Act now.

After the official adoption of the legislative proposal, the two-year transition period for companies will begin. During this period, AI systems and related processes must be designed to comply with the law. Fines of up to €30,000,000 are possible for non-compliance.

The EU AI law defines four risk classes – from low risk to unacceptable risk. The higher the risk, the higher the requirements for companies.

We strongly recommend that companies assess at an early stage what requirements the AI Act will impose on their business. A first step is to assess the risk class of the AI system.

We would be happy to assist you in assessing the risk class.
